Reacher (TV Series) Review
I consumed a lot of content when I was laid up recently. One of the things I watched was the Reacher series on Amazon. The first episode was the best of the short bunch. The whole thing holds up nicely but I would have liked a tighter packed and better paced six episodes to the eight they did. It was fun to have the extra time with these characters, so I’m not too off put.
The acting overall is solid. I’ll watch pretty much anything with Bruce McGill in it and What We Do In The Shadows‘ Harvey GuillĂ©n is woefully underused. Malcolm Goodwin steals many scenes as the overdressed Chief Detective Oscar Finlay.
The story itself is fine. I dare say I liked this series significantly more than the movie. I’m looking forward to more.
Editing Is Important
I don’t know who runs the show at Channel 3 in Chattanooga, but they should look at the headline editing:
Food City has a ribbon-cutting for its “Lime Green Wedding Cake” sculpture made out of steel Celebrate Mother’s Day at Sculpture Fields at Montague Park with a picnic in the park on Sunday.
Homeland Security Investigations expands in Chattanooga with new facility & more agents

I want Stanly Tucci to write and narrate the audiobook of a science fiction book where he describes alien elements like he describes food.

Parachute spiders in Georgia will not hurt you, probably
I, for one, welcome our invading parachuting spider overlords:
The population of non-native Joro spiders has exploded in Georgia and entomologists expect huge numbers of the strikingly-colorful arachnids, each approximately the size of your palm, to parachute across the East Coast. According to new research, the spiders (Trichonephila clavata) adapt to colder weather and can travel distances up to 100 miles on gusts of wind. The invasive species arrived in the US from Japan around a decade ago, probably on cargo ships. The good news? They won’t hurt you.
